Cookie statement

Here you can read which cookies are placed on our website, for what purpose, how long they last and what else the website stores in your browser.

This is an English translation for your convenience. The Dutch version is legally binding: if the two differ, the Dutch text applies.

1.What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files that a website can store on your computer, tablet or phone. Websites use them, for example, to remember that you are logged in, to measure visits or to tailor advertisements to what you viewed before.

There are also similar techniques, such as storage in your browser (local storage) and pixels. The same rules apply to all of these techniques. Under the Dutch Telecommunications Act (Telecommunicatiewet), a website must ask for your consent before it places or reads anything that is not necessary to make the website work.

2.Which cookies do we use?

We do not place any cookies ourselves. The party that hosts our website does place two. They are part of running the website and counting visits:

Technical cookie
Ensures that during your visit you keep seeing the same version of the website, even if we have just changed something.Name "__dpl". Placed by the party that hosts our website. Expires after 24 hours.
Cookie for visitor statistics
A random code with which the party that hosts our website counts the total number of visits and page views. It does not contain your name, email address or any other information about you.Name "session-id". Placed by the party that hosts our website. Expires 30 minutes after you last opened a page.

In addition, the party that hosts our website keeps track of how quickly pages load and whether technical errors occur. No cookie is used for this. What you fill in on the self-test or the cost calculator is not passed on in this process.

What is not on our website:

  • No Google Analytics.
  • No cookies or pixels from advertising and social media companies, such as Google, Facebook or LinkedIn.
  • No embedded services from other companies that place cookies themselves, such as YouTube videos or Google Maps maps. The fonts and the video on our website come from our own website.

What we do store in your browser

Two things, both only on your own device:

Scroll position
If you go back to a page you have just viewed, you end up at the same place on that page again.Storage in your browser (session storage), name "tsr-scroll-restoration". Disappears when you close the tab.
Checklist on the Registration page
If you tick off items on the Registration page, your browser remembers which ticks you have set, so that you can continue later. Those ticks stay on your own device and are not sent to us or to anyone else.Storage in your browser (local storage), name "adhdmc-voorbereiding". Remains stored until you clear our website's data in your browser.

Neither is sent to us or to anyone else. The self-test and the cost calculator do not store anything: your answers disappear as soon as you close the page.

3.Why we do not track visitors

People who visit our website are often reading about something personal: about ADHD, about medication, about how you are doing. We believe that this information does not belong with advertising or tech companies. That is why we do not track you on other websites and do not show you advertisements afterwards.

The visitor statistics of the party that hosts our website only count the total number of visits. We cannot see in them who visits our website.

Our website contains links to other websites, such as Google Maps for directions and our pages on Instagram, LinkedIn and Facebook. Only when you click on such a link do you go to that website. That website may then place cookies itself. The cookie and privacy statement of that website applies to this; we are not responsible for that.

5.Deleting stored data yourself

In your browser settings you can always see and delete what websites have stored on your device. Look in your browser for "cookies and site data" or "manage website data", and delete the data of adhdmc.nl. This also clears the ticks on the checklist.

Our website will continue to work as normal afterwards.

6.If this changes

If anything changes in the cookies on our website, we will update this statement. If your consent is needed for a cookie, we will ask for it first, before the cookie is placed. We review this statement every year.
